Why we only do walls
Plenty of homes have a roof that won't take solar: it faces the wrong way, it's too small or too busy with dormers, or it isn't yours to touch. Many of those homes still have a sunny wall. That wall is the only job this site does.

The homes roofs leave out
- Terraces with a sunny side wall on the rear offshoot
- Semis and end-terraces with a bare gable end
- Detached houses with a long south or west wall
- Ground-floor flats where the freeholder is happy for a wall to be used
We deliver kits anywhere in England, Scotland and Wales.

How we choose kits
- Only kits whose exact model is listed as Compliant on the Energy Networks Association's Type Test Register.
- Kits with a stand made for a wall as well as the ground.
- Specs from the maker's datasheets, with the date.
- No separate brackets until the maker confirms which parts are approved for the registered kit.

Where our numbers come from
Best-case figures come from the Energy Saving Trust and Ofgem's price cap, and every source is dated on our calculator page. Where we don't have a sourced figure, such as a particular wall direction or a steep angle, we say so rather than guess.
