Fitted to your wall in the North East: coming soon

We plan a fitting add-on for wall kits across the North East. No fitter is confirmed yet, so nothing can be booked or priced today. Register your interest and we'll email you if it starts. Until then, every kit is made for you to fit yourself once the wall has been assessed.

What the fitting add-on would cover

This is the plan. It may change before launch, and we'll say so if it does.

  1. 01Photo surveyThree photos of your wall, its surface and your socket, so the wall can be looked at before anyone visits.
  2. 02The professional wall assessmentThe maker's requirement before any wall install: a check that the wall can carry the kit, and fixings chosen to suit.
  3. 03A confirmed priceYou'd get the price before anything is booked. No fixed price is set today.
  4. 04Fitting dayThe stand fixed to the wall, the panels and microinverter fitted, the kit plugged in. You register it free at myplugin.solar.

03

The professional assessment before fitting

Whoever fits the kit, the maker requires a professional assessment before any wall install. Before the add-on starts, or outside the North East, arrange it yourself with someone qualified to judge whether the wall can take the load and which fixings suit it, such as a structural engineer.

It's also the moment to confirm the wall isn't one a kit can't go on:

  • A wall on a property boundary, or one shared with a neighbouring home
  • Any building with timber, ACM, MCM or HPL cladding
  • A building having external wall remediation

04

Photo survey before we book

When the add-on starts, we'll ask for three photos before anything is booked:

  1. 01The whole wall from the garden or street, with the roof line and the ground in shot.
  2. 02A close-up of the wall surface: brick, stone, render or block.
  3. 03Your outdoor socket, or where one could go, and the fuse box with its cover open.

There's no need to send them now. We'll ask once there's a fitter to look at them.

No booking and no payment. A few answers show us where the demand is.

We'll use your details to tell you if North East fitting starts, and for nothing else. No fitter is confirmed yet. See our privacy notice.

When does fitting start?

There's no date. We'll only launch it once a fitter is confirmed, and we'll email everyone who registered.

What will it cost?

We don't know yet. When it starts, you'll get a confirmed price before anything is booked.

I'm outside the North East. What do I do?

Arrange the professional wall assessment yourself, then fit the kit as the maker's manual and your assessor set out.
