Cookies used by Wall Solar Panels
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This site stores a few small things in your browser so the shop works. Analytics stay off unless you say yes. On this page, "cookies" also covers browser storage, which works in a similar way.
Essential cookies for checkout
These are always on, because the basket and checkout can't work without them. They don't track you across other sites.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your basket | Remembers the kit you've chosen as you move between pages | Until you empty it or clear your browser |
| Your delivery postcode | Checks we deliver to you and saves typing it again | Until you clear your browser |
| Your order summary | Shows your order on the thank-you page | Until you close the tab |
| Your cookie choice | Remembers if you allowed analytics | 6 months (also kept in browser storage until you clear it) |
| Cloudflare security (`__cf_bm`) | Helps block bots and attacks on the site | 30 minutes (only if Cloudflare's bot protection checks your visit) |
When you pay, you move to Square's secure payment page. Square sets its own cookies there, under Square's cookie policy.
Analytics and calculator cookies
The wall calculator and the ten-point wall check don't set cookies or store your answers. They work out your result in the page and forget it when you leave.
Analytics cookies only load after you click "Yes, allow" on the cookie banner. They help us see which guides and tools are useful.
| Service | Cookies | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | `_ga`, `_ga_2BTMS3E2V1` | Counts visits and shows which pages people use | Up to 2 years |
| Microsoft Clarity | `_clck`, `_clsk`, `CLID`, `MUID`, `ANONCHK`, `MR`, `SM` | Shows how pages are used through heatmaps and session replays (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) | From the end of your visit up to 1 year |
We've set Clarity to hide anything you type into forms. Google and Microsoft may process this data outside the UK; see our privacy notice.
We also count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. You can switch it off in Cookie settings.
We don't use advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Turning cookie categories on or off
Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to change your choice at any time.
You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings. That will empty your basket.
